Jin Jun transforms farming in his home village to improve lives

Drawing on the Korean ethnic group's traditional culture, he developed a distinctive agricultural sector focusing on green organic rice.
He concentrated on creating a Korean ethnic village that integrates tourism, leisure agriculture and folk characteristics.
Jin often invited agricultural technicians to inspect fields for pests and diseases and train farmers to use new harvesting technology and techniques for planting green organic rice.
From 2015 to 2023, the village's collective economic income increased from 50,000 yuan ($7,085) to 1.44 million yuan. The farmers' per capita disposable income has reached 21,000 yuan, a 3.2 times increase.
Guangdong has become a popular science demonstration base for organic rice planting and is a nationally certified organic rice base.
