Chinese, US theater commanders hold video call

Wu Yanan, Commander of the Southern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army, held a video call with Samuel Paparo, Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, on Tuesday morning, China's Defense Ministry said.
It said in a brief statement on Tuesday morning that the video call was conducted in accordance with the consensus reached during the meeting between the heads of state of China and the US in San Francisco last year.
Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on issues of mutual concern, the ministry said.
