China honors top educators ahead of Teachers' Day

China held a national ceremony on Sunday to mark the 40th Teachers' Day, honoring outstanding achievements in the country's education system.
A total of 585 institutions, including the School of Finance at the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing, received the title of "National Advanced Collective in the Education System," according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Education.
Additionally, 716 individuals were recognized as "National Model Teachers," while 895 were named "National Excellent Teachers."
Eighty educators were awarded the title of "National Advanced Workers in the Education System," and 99 were honored as "National Excellent Education Workers."
The commendation ceremony, held ahead of Teachers' Day on Sept 10, aims to celebrate the dedication of educators and inspire respect for teachers across the nation. It also seeks to encourage education workers to continue their commitment to nurturing future generations.
