Distribution transformer recycled to generate greener power

In August, three distribution transformers of State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company in Jiangsu province passed a test of insulation resistance after repair and maintenance, which is now confirmed to be in good working condition, saving a cost of nearly 200,000 yuan for the company.

The company took the lead in recycling power distribution transformers rather than replacing them, in order to go environmentally friendly and economical.

All the members of the maintenance group of the company have mastered the skills to tackle common faults like tap changer repairs, seal ring oil leaks and bushing punctures to face the summer power demand peak.

The company is committed to exploring more cost-effective transformer maintenance and management models to further support the construction of a green power grid.
