The 8th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Cultural Industry Expo Fair is being held in the region's capital city Hohhot from Aug 29 to Sep 2.

Showcasing the rich cultural heritage and development achievements of Inner Mongolia, the event features great displays from all 12 leagues and cities, boosting the influence and reach of the Northern Frontier's cultural brand.

Ulaanqab's exhibition, themed "One step west from Beijing is Ulaanqab," offers visitors a very special cultural feast. Occupying 150 square meters, its exhibition has over 100 cultural and intangible heritage products, the largest display to date.

Highlights include Longxing ceramics and traditional Mongolian gold and silverware. Six top cultural and tourism business enterprises are presenting over 30 signature Ulaanqab products, promoting them on-site.

With over 100 cultural products from 21 enterprises, the display ranges from traditional equestrian-themed items to modern creative designs, each narrating the story of this land.

Combining traditional elements with modern technology, the VR horseback riding experience is a must-see attraction.

In the Baotou exhibition, city-level intangible cultural heritage paper-cutting inheritor Guo Ting engages in interactive demonstrations.

Her creative products include rare earth foil paper-cut bookmarks, rare earth foil creative display stands and trendy national-style ornaments.

These items blend traditional paper-cutting techniques with modern craftsmanship and new materials – incorporating rare earth elements to bring new vitality to this ancient art form and integrating it into contemporary life.

"Through this expo, I hope more people will discover these products that carry Baotou's cultural heritage and feel the unique charms of Baotou's culture," says Guo.
