The coast guard in Southeast China’s Fujian province conducted routine law enforcement patrols in the waters near Jinmen on Wednesday, according to the China Coast Guard.
In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon, the CCG said that since August, the Fujian coast guard has organized fleets to continuously strengthen law enforcement patrols in the waters near Jinmen, especially as the summer fishing moratorium has ended and a large number of fishing vessels have resumed operations.
The Fujian coast guard will further intensify control over the relevant waters to effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests, the lives, and the property of Chinese fishermen, including those from Taiwan, it said.
