Biden says Trump won't go peacefully

US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday he was not confident about a peaceful transfer of power in the United States if Republican Donald Trump loses the Nov 5 presidential election. "If Trump loses, I'm not confident at all," Biden told CBS News after he was asked if he expected a peaceful transfer of power in 2025. "He means what he says. We don't take him seriously. He means it." Trump had falsely claimed he won the 2020 election against Biden and was convicted of 34 felony charges over hush money payment to deceive voters in 2016. His Democratic rival, Vice-President Kamala Harris, has a 51-48 percent lead over him in the latest NPR/PBS News/Marist survey and has edged ahead by 0.5 percentage points in the RealClearPolitics nationwide average of polls.
