Artists from SCO member countries display handmade creations in Qingdao
The 2024 "SCO Summer" Craftsmanship Exhibition and the third Qingdao Craftsmanship Festival opened on Sunday at the Qingdao SCODA Pearl International Expo Center, bringing together numerous skilled artisans from Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries to showcase their exquisite handmade creations.
The exhibition aims to enhance cultural exchange and promote the high-quality development of the handmade arts sector, said the organizers.
The event featured an SCO product area, a local product area, and a university product area. These areas, with a total of 80 booths, have attracted local residents and tourists, allowing them to appreciate the intricate skills of the craftsmen and the unique charm of their work.
An AI-powered platform was launched to further support the handmade arts sector.
Jiaozhou, a county-level city of Qingdao, is home to the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, known as SCODA, which has emerged as a vital hub for trade and business among member countries of the SCO.
