Former senior Jiangxi provincial legislator under investigation

BEIJING -- Hong Lihe, a former senior legislator in East China's Jiangxi province, is under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and the law, an official statement said Wednesday.
Hong, formerly a vice-head of the Standing Committee of Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement.
