Man suspected of stabbing three people in Shanghai nabbed

The suspect who allegedly attacked three people with a knife at the Hechuan Road Station on Shanghai Metro Line 9 on Wednesday morning has been taken into custody, according to police.
The incident occurred at 8:28 am at the station located in Minhang district. Three individuals who sustained injuries during the incident have been transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment, according to the report released by the public security authorities.
The suspected perpetrator, identified as a 54-year-old male surnamed Shen, has been taken into custody by the authorities.
Further investigations into the case are ongoing.
In coordination with the incident response, the Hechuan Road Station was temporarily closed, according to Shanghai Metro. Normal operations on Metro Line 9 have since resumed.
