Vice-Premier to travel to Europe, hopes to strengthen communication

Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang will travel to Europe next week for the fifth China-EU High-Level Environment and Climate Dialogue at European Union Headquarters in Brussels and a visit to Luxembourg.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, who announced the trip, said Ding will co-chair the dialogue with Maros Sefcovic, executive vice-president of the European Commission.
China and Europe share extensive interests in green development, Lin said at a regular news conference on Friday, adding that there is "huge room" for bilateral cooperation in the field.
China hopes to take this round of dialogue as an opportunity to enhance cooperation with Europe and promote a deeper and more solid "green partnership" with Europe, Lin said.
During his visit to Luxembourg, Ding will meet with Luxembourg's leaders and attend the second Zhengzhou-Luxembourg "Air Silk Road" Forum for International Cooperation.
China hopes to strengthen communication, mutual understanding and cooperation with Luxembourg through Ding's visit, Lin said.
