President Boluarte faces complaint in Rolex case
Peru's attorney general's office on Monday presented a so-called constitutional complaint against President Dina Boluarte in an alleged corruption case involving her use of luxury watches, like Rolex, a national scandal that could lead to removal proceedings. The formal accusation comes as the leader's popularity has sunk to a new low, according to polls. The complaint accuses Boluarte of receiving a bribe. If Congress moves forward on it, the accusation could lead to Boluarte's ousting. Peru's increasingly rocky politics has claimed several of Boluarte's predecessors in recent years, with lawmakers often playing the leading role in launching removal proceedings against the Andean nation's presidents.

Cabinet chief resigns over differences
Argentine President Javier Milei's cabinet chief Nicolas Posse has resigned, the presidency said on Monday. Current Interior Minister Guillermo Francos will succeed Posse "with the aim of providing greater political weight" to the office of the cabinet chief, the presidency said in a statement. Posse, a 58-year-old industrial engineer, has served as chief of the Cabinet of Ministers since Dec 10 when Milei took office. Posse's resignation was due to a "difference in criteria and expectations in the progress of the government and the tasks entrusted to it".
