Four workers are missing after subsidence at a mined-out section of a mine in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, said local authorities on Saturday morning.
The surface of the area where they were working at Jinyuan Mining Development Co of Linxi county, Chifeng city, collapsed during filling operations at around 19:45 on Friday, according to Chifeng's emergency management bureau.
In response to the incident, the Emergency Management Department of Inner Mongolia autonomous region immediately set up a working group at the scene. It has mobilized resources and deployed heavy equipment such as eight excavators, four forklifts, four dump trucks, one crane and two drilling rigs.
