The Haikou Boat Show set sail on Saturday evening as a highlight of the fourth China International Consumer Products Expo in Hainan province. The show began on Saturday and runs until Thursday.

A record number of overseas boats are slated to appear. Participation from world-renowned boat manufacturers from the United Kingdom, Finland, Poland, France and the United States underscores the show's international prominence and appeal, offering a diverse display of luxury yachts and marine craftsmanship.

According to the 2024 Haikou Boat Show's organizers, 250 ships will be exhibited, including 120 yachts from 80 international brands, showcasing international marine innovation.

The 2024 boat show has set up an exhibition area on the water and land. The 170,000 square meters of maritime exhibition space not only displays yachts, sailing boats and new boats, but also integrates activities such as sea fishing events, water shows, kayaking and paddle boarding experiences, the organizers said.

The land exhibition area has created 15,000 square meters of Haikou lifestyle experience space, in addition to the boat, boat equipment and accessories displays. It also features yacht industry seminars, boat launch ceremonies and drone flight events.

The organizer said that with the "yacht economy" as the development lever, the event aims to establish a diversified display and experience space as the hub, and then stimulate comprehensive growth across industries and fields, accelerate the accumulation and expansion of the Hainan yacht industry and build a modern industrial ecology and investment environment for yachts, outdoor life and tourism.
