With Qingming Festival — corresponding with the fifth solar term of the year — on April 4, temperatures have been rising across the country. And now there's some fabulous photography from space to appreciate the seasonal change.

The satellite Jilin-1 recently sent back a series of videos presenting magnificent landscapes from well-known tourist attractions — places such as Qingming Shanghe Park in Kaifeng, Henan province; East Lake in Wuhan, Hubei province; Huangshan Mountain in Anhui province; the cherry blossom park in Guian, Guizhou province; and Ngari prefecture in the Xizang autonomous region.

The Jilin-1 satellite family, developed by Changchun-based Changguang Satellite Technology Co, is China's first domestic remote-sensing satellite constellation for commercial purposes.

It captures super high-definition images and helps provide information on forest fires, desertification, offshore rescue, ocean protection and other areas.
