Dusty weather forecast for North
Sandy and dusty weather is forecast for multiple areas in North China on Thursday, according to the National Meteorological Center. Regions including Beijing, Tianjin, the Inner Mongolia and Ningxia Hui autonomous regions, and the provinces of Gansu, Shaanxi, Shanxi and Hebei will experience sandy and dusty conditions. The central and western parts of Inner Mongolia are expected to suffer significant sandstorms. Meteorologists have attributed the weather to recent low precipitation in sand source areas and the eastward movement of a Mongolian cyclone, and advised the public to take precautionary measures. The center has also forecast heavy rainfall on Thursday in central and southern regions.
