Judges delay ruling on Assange's extradition
Two UK judges on Tuesday delayed a likely final decision on the extradition of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to the United States to face trial on espionage charges. The case at the High Court in London was adjourned for three weeks for US government lawyers to give "satisfactory assurances" about free speech protections, and that he would not face the death penalty if convicted. Assange, who has been held at a high-security London prison on remand since 2019, was not in court for the ruling.

Death from health supplement probed
A Japanese drugmaker said on Tuesday it is investigating one death from kidney dysfunction potentially linked to health supplements recalled last week by the firm. It comes a day after the company said it was aware of 26 cases of people being hospitalized in relation to the prescription-free tablets. Kobayashi Pharmaceutical has received an additional 50 unconfirmed reports of hospitalizations as of Tuesday morning, a spokeswoman told Agence France-Presse. The person who died had regularly purchased one of the recently recalled products over nearly three years, the drugmaker said.
