Having won the Rookie All-Star Award and receiving an invitation to the championships of the prestigious international FIRST Robotics competition in Houston, Texas, the Carmel School Senior Robotics Team has achieved a remarkable milestone and has recently returned from the Ventura California Regional competition.

Composed of 12 dedicated students with three teacher-specialist mentors, the Carmel School team had an intense few days in Ventura, California, including an eye-opening visit to Ventura High School, and are now preparing for the upcoming championships in Houston.

This event will see more than 900 teams from over 200 countries around the world competing, making it a global celebration of innovation and technology. Carrying the torch for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Carmel School is the only team representing Hong Kong SAR.

"Our team of young engineers showcased unmatched creativity and skill, and were awed by the collaborative spirit of other competing schools," said Rachel Friedmann, principal of the school.

"In a world where technology reigns supreme, we hope Carmel School's achievements serve as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring innovators everywhere and for the next generation of Carmel School engineers," she added.
