Hebei's student's death: All suspects caught
All suspects reportedly involved in the killing of a middle school student by classmates in Feixiang district of Handan, Hebei province, have been detained and placed under criminal coercive measures in accordance with the law, according to a statement by local authorities on Sunday night.
The student, surnamed Wang, was killed on March 10. All suspects involved were caught the next day, the statement by the Joint Working Group of Feixiang District said, adding that judicial organs will punish the criminal behavior based on the law.
Since the killing, relevant departments have made all-out efforts to comfort the victim's family and handle its aftermath, and work in all aspects is proceeding in an orderly manner, it said.
As this case involves minors, the local authorities have called on the public refrain from believing or spreading rumors, in order to protect the privacy of the victim and avoid causing further harm to the victim's family.
The victim was reportedly 13 years old and had been allegedly bullied at school for a long time by three of his classmates, according to media reports.
