Education is about hope, and teachers should respect the differences between individual children, inspiring their talents and dreams, said Wang Xu, NPC deputy and deputy secretary of the Party committee and principal of Yali Middle School in Changsha, Hunan province.

Wang believes that every child has their own interests and strengths. Parents and teachers should discover children's interests and provide them with courses and platforms, allowing their current interests and hobbies to become advantages for their future life development, Wang stated during a deputies' group interview of the second session of the 14th National People's Congress.

"In the world, there are no two completely identical persons, and on earth, there are no two completely identical leaves. There are no gaps between children, only differences. Let the children who like archery practice archery, and let the children who like chess play chess. By respecting differences and believing in children, we can inspire every child's talent, potential, and dreams, thus inspiring every child's hope," he said.

Especially for parents and every teacher, they should first be full of hope for themselves, for the children, and for the future. This hope will shine on the children's growth like sunlight, he added.

Wang emphasized that during adolescence, positive guidance and cultivation are most needed. "The school is not only connected to countless households but also connected to the nation and the future. Let every child and every family be full of hope, and let our country and nation be full of hope. This is the original intention and mission of education."
