Exhibition focuses on Chinese Opera

Rhythm on Canvas: NCPA Invitational Exhibition of Oil Paintings on Traditional Chinese Opera Theme is running until March 31.

Gathering artists, including Li Tianxiang, Xu Li and Yan Ping, the exhibition highlights the performers of Peking Opera, portraying scenes on, and behind, the stage.

One work is an 11-meter-long art piece by Wang Qijun, showcasing female roles in Peking Opera, which took the artist about two years to finish.
