Youth Power: Unlocking ideas, a conversation with young minds

The ninth episode of season three of Youth Power, "Unlocking ideas, a conversation with young minds", will air on Feb 29 at 8 pm Beijing time (7 am EST).

The term artificial intelligence seems to be on everyone's lips right now, so what's new in the world of STEM sciences? Youth Power brings together some Gen Z STEM enthusiasts from Canada, China, Malaysia, South Africa, Turkiye, the United States and beyond. With them we'll look at some of the new possibilities of science and technology.

What first comes to your mind when you think of STEM students? Thick-rimmed glasses, plaid shirts or aloof geniuses? Let's banish these stereotypes and look at what several STEM students have prepared for us. In this episode Gen Zers will discuss topics such as sustainable energy, AI and advances that are reshaping our world. They'll also dispel some myths about STEM students such as those relating to gender and to career paths. Together let's stoke our curiosity, broaden our horizons and look at the opportunities that STEM disciplines offer.

Youth Power, organized by China Daily, aims to build a global platform of communication and exchange, focusing on the interests and ideas of Generation Z.
