Major domestic theme park player Overseas Chinese Town will launch art performances, intangible cultural heritage experiences and festive cuisines, among other fun elements, to spice up travelers’ experiences during Spring Festival.

Bonfire gala, lion dance and distinctive folk opera will be staged in its Happy Valley theme parks in Chengdu, Sichuan province, and Chongqing, while music performance and fireworks will be available to visitors in OCT theme parks in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, and Tianjin.

Large-scale dance and singing performances will be held in OCT’s operations in Yunnan province, and art exhibitions are planned in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

Visitors will also have access to distinctive local cuisines at multiple OCT facilities.

According to data from Mafengwo, searches for “where to go during Spring Festival” have surged as the holiday is around the corner.

Traditional customs such as lantern festivals, temple fairs, and intangible cultural heritage activities have remained the center of Spring Festival travel.
