Carnival welcomes Year of the Dragon
A Spring Festival carnival hosted by the China International Youth Exchange Center was held in Beijing on Friday to share Chinese culture and welcome the Year of the Dragon. About 120 guests attended the event, including diplomatic envoys from over 30 countries as well as international students in China, according to the center. The event featured 12 activities featuring Chinese intangible cultural heritages such as calligraphy, paper-cutting, tea culture and traditional Chinese clothing. Chinese and foreign youths discussed the meaning of the Chinese dragon, traditional Spring Festival customs and how to wear hanfu.
20 'Most Beautiful Civil Servants' honored
The Organization Department and the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China unveiled the recipients of the prestigious "Most Beautiful Civil Servants" honor on Sunday. Twenty individuals were chosen for their exemplary service and dedication. The chosen individuals displayed remarkable dedication and received widespread public acclaim, according to a statement issued by the two departments. In times of major challenges and conflicts, they bravely shouldered burdens and rose to the occasion, earning widespread recognition, it said.
