2 Chinese tourists injured in bus accident
Two people were injured when a passenger bus carrying 16 Chinese tourists lost control and veered off into the opposite lane near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Monday. The injured were sent to hospital, according to reports from Xinhua News Agency and China Central Television. The tourists comprised nine adults and seven children. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Four survive Russian jet crash, 2 missing
Four people survived and two are unaccounted for after a Russian plane crashed in the mountainous northeastern Afghanistan, air transport agency Rosaviatsia said on Sunday. The Falcon 10 business jet was believed to be carrying six people on a hospital flight from India to Uzbekistan and Russia before communication was lost on Saturday evening. The RIA Novosti news agency said two passengers were Russians — one who was seriously ill and the other, her husband, who had paid for the flight.

4 die in suburban Chicago shooting
Four people were fatally shot in a community outside Chicago on Sunday in what suburban officials described as a "domestic-related shooting". A suspect was taken into custody on Sunday, according to a social media post by the Tinley Park public safety department. The village of roughly 55,000 people is about 50 kilometers southwest of Chicago. Police officers were investigating the scene of the shooting in a residential area on Sunday, officials said. "The offender is in custody and the scene is secure," the statement said.

Dozens arrested after hospital assault
Police in violence-plagued Ecuador arrested 68 people on Sunday, who had attempted to take over a hospital in the country's southwest in the midst of a "war" between drug gangs and security forces. The arrests came as Ecuador agreed with neighboring Andean nations Peru, Colombia and Bolivia to launch a new security network, with the deal reached at an emergency meeting as the region watches bloodshed spiral in the once-peaceful Ecuador.

Over 100 flights canceled due to storm
Airlines canceled 102 flights in and out of Dublin Airport on Sunday due to a storm that was forecast to rage for the rest of the day, the airport operator said. Storm Isha had also forced 24 aborted landings, while 27 flights opted to divert to other airports, Dublin Airport said in a post on social media platform X. Ireland's national meteorological service Met Eireann issued an orange weather warning early on Sunday for most of the country.
