Local culture and sport unite at Wenchang Village Volleyball Tournament Spring Match

Rice Noodles, Coconut Chicken, Beef Jerky, Jackfruit, and Passion Fruit are all volleyball teams that have been named after their hometown specialties in the hope that their hometowns' characteristics will get promoted through the 2024 Hainan Wenchang Village Volleyball Tournament Spring Match.

The tournament kicked off on Friday evening and has drawn enthusiastic crowds of spectators.

More than 430 players from 28 village teams participate in 56 games through Feb 4. The top eight teams will compete in matches from Feb 15 to Feb 17 and on Feb 23 and 24.
