At least 1 killed, 10 injured in train accident in Indonesia's West Java

JAKARTA - At least one was dead and more than 10 people were wounded as two trains collided in Indonesia's West Java province on Friday morning, according to local media and a rescuer.

Local media METROTV confirmed that at least one person was killed in the accident.

The train Commuter Line Bandung Raya and Turangga train collided in Cicalengka regency at 06:03 am Jakarta time.

"Our personnel have rescued many injured people, at least there are more than 10 wounded persons. It could be more than that," Head of Operation Unit of the provincial Search and Rescue Office Supriono told Xinhua by phone. All of them have been rushed into the General Hospital of CIcalengka, he added.
