China's self-developed two-seater light-sport aircraft, AG60E, made its debut flight in the eastern Zhejiang province on Wednesday, according to the country's top State-assets regulator.

The test flight was carried out at Qiandaohu General Aviation Airport in Jiande, Hangzhou city, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council said in a Sina Weibo post.

Designed and manufactured by Tongfei Yema, a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corp of China, the AG60E has a length of 6.9 meters and a wing span of 8.6 meters. It can fly at an altitude of 3,600 meters with a maximum average speed of 218 kilometers per hour. It is an upgrade from its predecessor, the gasoline-fueled AG60.
