Chinese police issue warrants for major drug fugitives
Chinese police have publicly issued arrest warrants for 10 major fugitives for drug-related charges in northern Myanmar.
The public security organs in Chenzhou and Zhuzhou in Hunan province, Xin'gan county in Jiangxi province, Wenzhou in Zhejiang province, Suining in Sichuan province, and Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture in Guizhou province, have announced a public reward for their arrest.
Individuals providing effective information leading to the arrest will be rewarded with amounts ranging from 100,000 ($14,080) to 200,000 yuan.
The ten fugitives are as follows:
1. Zhang Anlong, male, 41, native of Yunmeng county in Hubei province.
2. Ma Wenxiang, male, 36, native of Puer, Yunnan province.
3. Wu Yuyang, male, 38, native of Changting county, Fujian province.
4. Yang Jinmei, female, 44, native of Lincang, Yunnan.
5. Zeng Xiaoyong, male, 47, native of Ji'an, Jiangxi.
6. Li Guoping, male, 57, native of Ji'an, Jiangxi.
7. Sun Qiang, male, 51, native of Ji'an, Jiangxi.
8. Yan Huanping, male, 54, native of Loudi, Hunan province.
9. Mu Chaodong, male, 35, native of Daying county, Sichuan province.
10. Long Hua, male, 42, native of Jinping county, Guizhou province.
In recent years, in line with the plan of China National Narcotics Control Commission and the Ministry of Public Security, public security organs have engaged in international law enforcement cooperation to apprehend fugitives involved in illegal drug smuggling and trafficking in China. Over 300 drug-related fugitives have been arrested, creating a strong deterrent against drug trafficking gangs overseas, according to the ministry.
