Tsinghua University appoints Li Luming as its president

Li Luming has been appointed as the president of Tsinghua University, as well as the deputy secretary of the university's Party committee, according to a notice released by the university on Friday.
Wang Xiqin will no longer hold the position of president and deputy secretary of the Party committee of the university, and a new appointment will be made for him, the notice said.
Born in February 1968, Li is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and previously served as the vice president of the university, it added.
