African nations share hope for energy transition

Many African nations are thirsty for renewable energy as they strive to promote economic development and improve people's livelihood. As global climate crisis looms larger, the development of renewable energy is on top of the agenda of many governments in Africa. On the sidelines of the COP28 United Nations climate change conference, which lasted from Nov 30 to Wednesday in Dubai, the United Arab of Emirates, officials from local governments of some African nations expressed their sincere hope to cooperate with China to promote energy transition in areas under their jurisdiction.
