Fishermen return to harbor for safety in Shandong

Due to strong winds and a cold wave that will sweep Shandong province this week, fishing boats have sought shelter in ports in Rongcheng, a county-level city of Weihai, Shandong province, to avoid adverse weather conditions.

Local marine authorities utilized the BeiDou satellite system to recall vessels operating in the Yellow and Bohai seas. They arranged for fishing boats to seek nearby ports for refuge to prevent wind and wave damage and potential collisions.
