The Vietnamese edition of the second season of Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping was launched in Vietnam on Monday.

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese president, will make a state visit to Vietnam starting on Tuesday.

The video series, which compiles Xi's quotes from ancient Chinese classics in his speeches, articles and remarks, began broadcasting on VTC Digital Television, a national television network in Vietnam.

Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group, said in a video speech at the launching ceremony that the program is aimed at sharing Xi's wisdom and experience in governance with Vietnamese audiences. He added that he expects the video series to open more windows for both countries to deepen mutual understanding.

Do Tien Sy, president of the Voice of Vietnam, said in a written speech that Vietnam and China are neighbors that share many similarities, and both sides hope to establish a stable, friendly and cooperative relationship.

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam. The two nations have engaged in active cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and have fostered over 60 pairs of friendly cities and provinces.

Also on Monday, a Vietnamese daily news program coproduced by CMG and VTC began broadcasting, initiating a new round of cooperation between Chinese and Vietnamese media outlets.

The program, called Connecting China and Vietnam, is the first international cooperation program broadcast on Vietnam's national television. It is being aired from Monday to Saturday on VTC during prime time.

Focused on Chinese news and cooperation between China and Vietnam in various fields, the program aims to deepen Vietnamese audiences' understanding of China and promote people-to-people connections.

In the same video speech, Shen, president of CMG, said the program will enable Vietnamese audiences to feel the tangible benefits brought by bilateral friendly cooperation through the news from China.

Tran Duc Thanh, director of VTC Digital Television, said the program will offer useful information to the two peoples and his news organization will take the opportunity to carry out more practical and meaningful cooperation with CMG.
