Representatives from 123 counties, cities and districts from Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi and Fujian provinces discussed the development of a national ecotourism cooperation zone during a meeting in Taishun county, Zhejiang province, on Dec 8.

The region at the junction of the four provinces boasts optimal conditions for ecological protection and construction, as well as the development of the tourism economy. It abounds in distinctive rural destinations and stunning landscapes.

A total of 29 travel routes and more than 100 winter celebrations across the zone were launched at the meeting and more than 500 scenic spots will offer favorable travel deals from December to February.

At the same time, cultural and tourism departments from 19 cities of the four provinces signed a framework cooperation agreement and jointly released the Wenzhou Declaration for the Zhejiang-Anhui-Fujian-Jiangxi National Ecotourism Collaborative Zone.

The parties involved aim to consolidate consensus, deepen regular cooperation mechanisms, share resources, expand multilevel customer markets, establish integrated public services, and ultimately create an internationally renowned tourist destination.
