October rail trips

China's railway passenger flow went up in October, data from China State Railway Group show, with 336 million railway passenger trips made nationwide that month, an increase of 25.44 million, or 8.2 percent, over the same period in 2019. During the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday starting on Sept 29, the average number of daily passenger trips served by China's railways reached 16.02 million, up 22 percent over the same period in 2019.

Travel Mart

The recent China International Travel Mart 2023 held in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, attracted tourism promotion agencies, related enterprises and more than 800 international travel agents from more than 70 countries and regions. Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the provincial government of Yunnan, the three-day event covered an area of some 90,000 square meters with six special exhibition areas.

Guests can enjoy the refreshing flavors of the Mediterranean and the stunning views of the Bund, which enhance the dining experience.

Creation debuted

Inspired by the century-old intangible cultural heritage "Pixiu Dance" in Zengcheng district of Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, a 2.4-meter-high artwork named Paipai was officially unveiled on Nov 16 at Guangzhou Zengcheng Tongpai Hotel. Pixiu is a mythical auspicious creature in traditional Chinese culture. Paipai, created by the hotel in partnership with Guangzhou's local young creative community, has attracted a large number of trendsetters to feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture, while experiencing the trendy spaces of the hotel and Tongpai community lifestyle.

CIIE presence
