Sinologists around the world gather for forum in Shanghai

Scholars from over 60 nations convened in Shanghai for the World Conference on China Studies · Shanghai Forum. Themed "Chinese Civilization and China's Path — A Global Perspective", the Nov 23 to 24 forum has attracted about 400 sinologists from about 60 countries. They shared insights into Chinese civilization and discuss ways of helping the world better understand China during the forum.
Canadian prominent sinologist Timothy Brook emphasized the importance of reducing ignorance and misunderstanding between China and other cultures. German senior professor Helwig Schmidt-Glintzer said studying other societies might help uncover new insights in today's complex world. Click the video and learn more!
