China's first Braille versions of replies sent to blind NPC deputy

Wang Yongcheng is the only visually impaired deputy to the 14th National People's Congress, China's top legislature.
On Nov 13, the native of Fujian province received Braille version of four replies sent by authorities to suggestions he raised earlier this year in his hometown.
It was the first time that NPC staff members had made Braille versions of responses to a deputy's suggestions.
Wang always speaks out for people with disabilities, and his suggestions cover various areas, such as the employment and education of visually impaired people.
With his fingertips tracing the raised dots on a Braille document, Wang said: "This is tangible response to my suggestions. I will continue increasing communication with government departments to help the disabled, and make new contributions to serving high-quality development of people with disabilities."
