To help police sniffer dogs adapt to low-temperature environments and enhance their overall skills, the Changchuan border inspection station in Baishan, Jilin province, recently launched a winter training course.

Ten dogs, including a Labrador, German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois and Springer Spaniel, worked on skills such as biting, intercepting explosives, finding drugs, obeying commands and navigating field obstacles.

The training course is designed to produce dogs that can help with investigations, patrols, search and rescue and drug enforcement, as well as promote the professional skills of their handlers.
