Internet conference set for Nov 8-10

The 2023 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit will be held from Nov 8 to 10 in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province. The summit will organize 20 sub-forums on a wide range of hot issues related to the internet, including digital cooperation on the global development initiative, collaborative transformation of digitalization and green development, data governance, computing networks and artificial intelligence. Several events to mark the 10th anniversary of the summit will also be held.

3 dead, 8 injured in workshop collapse

Three people died and eight others were injured when a factory workshop collapsed on Thursday in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, local authorities said on Friday. The accident occurred at around 3 pm on Thursday in the Mataihao coal mine factory in Ejin Horoo Banner, Ordos. Eleven were trapped after the collapse took place. All were rescued and sent to a hospital for treatment on Friday. Among them, three died after medical treatment failed.
