Israeli man attacked outside supermarket

A 50-year-old man, who is a family member of an Israeli diplomat based in Beijing, was stabbed by a foreigner in front of a supermarket in Zuojiazhuang, Chaoyang district of Beijing at around 2 pm on Friday, according to a statement from Chaoyang police. The suspect, 53, has been detained and a preliminary probe showed that he is a commodities trader in Beijing and the case is under further investigation, it added.

E-commerce logistics index up in September

China's e-commerce logistics index, an indicator of logistics operations in the e-commerce sector, stood at 112.3 points in September, up 1.2 points from a month earlier, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. The sub-index tracking total business volume last month stood at 123.9 points, marking an increase of 2.5 points from August.
