Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei have enacted a new plan to promote their coordinated educational development from 2023 to 2025, according to a meeting held on Sunday.

The plan states that it will further promote the coordinated development of basic education in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. It will continue to carry out exchange and mutual learning activities among kindergarten, primary, and secondary school teachers and principals and share educational resources such as high-quality digital education and practice bases in the region.

To promote cross-regional cooperation, the region will establish education groups, school alliances and assistance partnerships to enhance the sharing of educational resources in areas around Beijing, including Zhangjiakou and Chengde in Hebei province, to jointly improve regional educational standards.

The plan also aims to enhance the education quality of Xiong'an New Area. Based on its construction timeline, it will construct high-level primary and secondary schools and kindergartens to provide high-quality educational services for the children of relocated personnel and residents in Xiong'an.

Beijing and Tianjin will achieve full coverage of educational services at all levels in basic education by dispatching excellent management teams to Xiong'an and strengthening resource sharing.

Furthermore, Beijing will continue to support branches of Beijing No. 4 High School, Beijing Shijia Hutong Primary School and Beijing Beihai Kindergarten in Xiong'an, which started recruiting students in September.
