Multiple people shot at Morgan State University in Baltimore -- police

NEW YORK -- Multiple people were shot on Tuesday at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, according to local police sources.

The Baltimore Police Department said Tuesday evening that officers are responding to a report of "an active shooter" in the 1700 block of Argonne Drive, near the university premises.

The conditions of the gunshot victims were not immediately known, according to the Baltimore Banner, a news website.

Both police and the university have urged those on campus to shelter in place and stay clear of the area.
