EU pledges continued support at Kyiv meeting
The European Union reiterated its support for Ukraine on Monday as its foreign ministers convened in Kyiv for a gathering beyond the bloc's borders. The EU's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell described Monday's gathering as "historic", but made clear there would be no new concrete announcements. Concerns are also rising over aid from Washington, where a government funding deal this weekend left out fresh help for Ukraine due to opposition from Republicans.

Three people killed in Bangkok mall shooting
Three people, including a visitor from China, were killed and six others wounded during a shooting at the renowned Siam Paragon shopping mall in downtown Bangkok, emergency services said on Tuesday. A 14-year-old boy was taken into custody after the shooting. The incident prompted authorities to shut access to a major transit stop nearby as the evening rush hour began.
