Helan county boosts local economy with agricultural tourism

In Helan county, Yinchuan city, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, the traditional agriculture and rural tourism industries have been integrated, creating a new path to increase farmer income.

Located in the core area of the northern Yellow River irrigation area, Helan has recently developed the "rice-fishing project", which integrates agricultural planting, aquaculture, agricultural product processing and ecotourism.

This project has achieved multiple benefits, including land protection, ecological improvement, industrial upgrades and increased income for farmers. In addition to rice production, farmers can earn an extra 3,480 dollars per hectare of paddy fields.
