Editor's note: On Aug 24, Japan commenced the release of nuclear-contaminated water from the tsunami-hit Fukushima nuclear plant into the Pacific Ocean, sparking a renewed wave of opposition and condemnation from the global community. In reaction to Japan's actions, characterized as irresponsible, self-serving and lacking transparency in ocean discharge, China has taken the decision to suspend imports of all aquatic products originating in Japan. If the water is clean and safe as the Japanese government claims to be, why don't they keep it for their own use? Drinking or irrigation. Shame on the Japanese government for doing such a horrendous act!
