International rope rescue teams compete in Chongqing

A breathtaking international rope rescue tournament held in Chongqing recently attracted a wide audience.

The 2023 Jinfo Mountain LifeLine International Rope Rescue Invitational Tournament and International Mountain Outdoor Rescue Exchange Competition LifeLine kicked off in Chongqing's Nanchuan district on Friday.

The three-day event attracted more than 20 professional rescue teams consisting of firefighters and rope rescue enthusiasts from Belgium, Japan and across China.

"Nowadays, rope rescue techniques have been gradually popularized. A rescue operation can ensure the safety of both an injured person and rescue personnel," said Philippe Denis V. from Grimp Namur of Belgium.
