Adrenaline-pumping sequences. Fierce competitions. Passion to pursue a dream. These elements make up the charm of Gran Turismo, the upcoming movie set to hit domestic theaters on Sept 1.

Under the helm of South African director Neill Blomkamp, best known for his 2009 sci-fi film District 9, this new tale draws inspiration from the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a British legend who in 2011 triumphed over 90,000 participants in a racing simulation competition, earning him the chance to become a professional racing car driver.

The movie showcases over 65 luxury racing cars and was filmed at renowned professional racing circuits worldwide, including Slovakia Ring, Dubai Autodrome, Germany’s Nurburgring, and Le Mans in France.

After hosting a premiere screening earlier this month, the movie, starring David Harbour and Orlando Bloom, launched advanced screenings across 40 cities in China between Aug 19 and 20.
