With the approach of autumn, farmers brought in a bumper harvest of red grapes recently in Shita village in Yongxin county of Chongqing's Qijiang district.
The grape clusters — with skins shifting from red to rich purple — are full and abundant.
Vineyards cover more than 4.7 hectares, over 40 of which have been planted in red grapes since the variety was first introduced in 2001.
Local planting experts have adopted advanced scientific planting and pest control techniques to ensure high yields and good quality over the past two decades.
