Fire destroys campsite in the nation's south
A fire in the south of France burned through 500 hectares of land and destroyed a campsite, with 2,000 people evacuated before the blaze was brought under control on Tuesday. French Environment Minister Christophe Bechu said climate change exacerbated conditions of drought that fed the fire. No residents or tourists were injured in the fire, French authorities said.

Luna-25 spacecraft enters lunar orbit
Russia's lunar lander entered the moon's orbit on Wednesday, a major step toward the Russian aim of being the first to execute a soft landing on the South Pole of the Earth's only natural satellite in a search for water ice. The Luna-25 entered the moon's orbit at 11:57 am, Russia's space corporate, Roskosmos, said. The lander is set to revolve 100 kilometers above the moon's surface, before a planned landing on the lunar South Pole.
