Chinese ambassador visits Shakespeare's hometown

Rolfe welcomed Zheng's visit and said that Stratford-upon-Avon is proud of its friendly cooperation with Fuzhou. During her visit to Fuzhou, she was deeply moved by the local commemoration of Shakespeare and the reconstruction of Shakespeare's New Palace there. 

Rolfe expressed the hope that both the UK and China will take the commemoration of the two literary giants as an opportunity to enhance cultural exchanges, promote practical cooperation, and deepen the friendship between the people of both sides.
